Biography

Although Ana Burgos is one of the oldest competitors on the triathlon scene, she consistently ranks in the top 10 at ITU events. At the 2001, 2003 and 2004 ITU World Triathlon Championships, Burgos was among the top 10 finishers. The Madrid native managed an even better 2nd place finish at the 2003 Ibiza Long Distance World Championships. Leading the strong Spanish team in Athens, along with teammate Ivan Rana, Burgos finished in 7th position.  Burgos will be looking to crack top 10 at upcoming ITU World Cups in 2005, and maybe even top the podium.
